Clearance trimming for roofs and power lines
Limbs that overhang the roof trap moisture and drop debris into gutters, and branches that grow into a service line can trip an outage or a utility trim crew's chainsaw. We cut back to a clean point at the trunk or a lateral branch, not just hack the ends, so the tree heals properly and doesn't respond with a burst of weak regrowth.
Deadwooding and structural pruning
Removing dead and crossing limbs before they fail on their own reduces storm risk and keeps the canopy healthy. On younger trees we also prune for structure, training a single strong leader instead of letting a pine or oak develop the codominant stems that tend to split later.
