How deep we grind
Standard grinding takes the stump 4-6 inches below grade, enough to mow over and cover with soil. If you're planting a new tree or laying sod in the same spot, we can grind deeper on request. Either way we chip the stump into mulch you can keep or have hauled.
Multiple stumps and lot cleanup
If you're clearing a lot or working through several stumps left from an older removal, we quote by the job rather than stacking per-stump minimums. It's common in Perry's older neighborhoods to find two or three stumps from trees taken down years apart, and grinding them in one visit is more efficient for everyone.

Can you grind a stump without damaging my yard?
The grinder itself is compact and tracks over grass with minimal disturbance. The main mess is the wood chips at the grind site, which we can leave for you to use as mulch or haul away.
How soon after removal can you grind the stump?
Immediately, if we're already on-site removing the tree. A stump left from an older removal grinds just as easily; the wood doesn't need to season first.
